“If your voice has ever cracked or made some unpredictable sound that embarrasses you, just know we’ve all been there. In fact, Claire’s passion to become a Voice Coach was born because her sisters tormented her singing as a child. Furthermore, after finding the way to make her voice more appealing, the next hurdle was how to keep the voice healthy, since it was in use daily.

20 yrs ago she developed “pre-nodules” – the result of overuse where extreme swelling occurs at locations on the vocal cords. You may have heard this swelling in someone whose voice sounds hoarse or cracks on certain words or pitches. The Dr’s advice was to stop vocalizing for several weeks – while that advice was impractical for a voice teacher, it led Claire to learn how to heal more quickly and regain her voice – a skill she uses to help others rehabilitate their voice.
